Crown BJJ Summer Camp 2026 is a structured, coach-led anti-bullying and self-defense development program for kids ages 4–12 — where children build real-world confidence, body awareness, and the skills to stay safe.
Limited spots available — Phase 1 begins June 2. Secure your child's place today.
You've done everything right. You've taught your child to be kind, to use their words, to walk away. But the hard truth is: bullying doesn't stop just because your child is a good kid. It happens on playgrounds, in hallways, at lunch tables — and in those moments, what your child feels on the inside matters just as much as what they do on the outside. A child who doesn't feel safe in their own body can't stand up for themselves. And no amount of "just tell a teacher" prepares them for the real moment it counts.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most practical self-defense system ever developed for smaller, younger people — and it was specifically designed so that technique, awareness, and calm decisiveness always beat size and aggression. That's why BJJ is different from any other martial art for kids. It doesn't teach them to fight. It teaches them how to stay safe, stay calm, and stay in control — no matter what.
At Crown BJJ Summer Camp 2026, your child isn't just taking a class. They're entering a structured, progressive program built around one core goal: developing the kind of confidence that comes from truly knowing what to do. Over 3, 6, or 9 weeks, kids move through a carefully designed curriculum that addresses bullying, physical safety, emotional regulation, and personal leadership — all inside a safe, supervised, and encouraging environment.
This is not a daycare with a mat. This is a real program, run by real coaches, with a real curriculum. Every week builds on the last. Every skill is taught with purpose. And every child leaves the summer stronger — not just physically, but in the ways that actually matter.
Children develop the internal belief that they can handle difficult situations — because they have real skills to back it up.
Kids learn to read their environment, recognize unsafe situations early, and understand how to respond before a situation escalates.
Through BJJ fundamentals, children develop body control, calm under pressure, and the ability to protect themselves without becoming the aggressor.
Every day is structured, purposeful, and packed with development. Here's what a typical day looks like:

Every week has a theme. Every theme builds on the last. By the end of summer, your child hasn't just practiced moves — they've gone through a complete confidence and self-defense development program.
Every great skill starts with the right foundation. Kids learn the rules of the mat, how to move their bodies safely, how to treat training partners with respect, and the core values that make BJJ different from any other activity.
Before technique comes movement. This week focuses on body awareness, coordination drills, and the kind of physical confidence that comes from learning to move with intention — skills that carry off the mat into everyday life.
The cornerstone of the program. Kids learn to identify bullying behavior, understand their rights and options, practice verbal de-escalation, and apply basic physical awareness skills to real-world scenarios. This week changes how kids see themselves.
Introduction to safe, controlled takedown defense — how to prevent being taken to the ground, how to stay on your feet, and what to do if you aren't. All techniques are framed as defensive tools, not offensive ones.
Kids learn the most important positions in BJJ — how to hold a safe position, how to control space, and how to prevent an aggressor from escalating a situation. Heavy focus on calm and controlled movement.
One of the most critical real-world skills: how to escape from a hold, pin, or compromised position and return to a standing, safe posture. Kids gain enormous confidence from learning they always have an "out."
A careful, age-appropriate introduction to submission techniques — framed entirely around responsibility, timing, and never using these skills outside the mat except in genuine self-defense situations. Ethics and restraint are core to this week's lessons.
Stress inoculation in a safe environment. Kids practice skills in slightly higher-pressure scenarios — timed drills, friendly competition formats, and confidence challenges — so they know they can execute when it counts.
The capstone week. Advanced campers mentor younger peers. Every child demonstrates what they've learned in a Friday Showcase for family. Graduation ceremony, certificates, and celebration of a summer well earned.
We don't put a 4-year-old on the mat with a 12-year-old. Each age group has its own curriculum pace, coaching approach, and skill benchmarks — because development isn't one-size-fits-all.
Whether you're testing the waters or going all-in on the best summer of their life, there's a package built for your family.
A $35 non-refundable registration fee applies to all packages. This fee is collected at signup and includes your child's camp shirt. Registration is processed through Gymdesk.

"Before this summer, my son would come home defeated almost every week. Something was happening at school and he just didn't have the tools to handle it. After just three weeks at Crown BJJ, I watched him walk into a situation that would have wrecked him before — and he handled it. Calm, confident, exactly like they taught him. I was in tears. This program changed him."
"I was honestly skeptical. My daughter is not aggressive at all, and I didn't want her learning to fight. But Crown BJJ is nothing like I expected. It's about confidence, awareness, and staying safe — not fighting. She came home every single day excited to tell me what she learned. By Week 6 she was walking differently. Standing taller. That's real."
"The fact that lunch is included sounds like a small thing but it's huge for our family. We have three kids and the logistics of summer can be overwhelming. Crown BJJ made it easy. Show up, drop off, pick up a confident kid at noon. Coach Fausto sends a weekly update and you always know exactly what your child is working on. We've already re-enrolled for next year."
